  • Associate membership is with the 'North Wales Advanced Motorcyclists Ltd' and not with the 'Institute of Advanced Motorists Ltd'.
  • An Observer is a fully paid-up Member of the 'Institute of Advanced Motorists Ltd' and shall be appointed by the Group Committee.
  • Membership fees shall be a sum fixed by the Group Committee and adopted at the AGM.
  • After passing the test, an Associate Member becomes a Full Group Member for the remainder of that year, after which he/she may continue to support the Group by rejoining as a Full Member.
  • Applications may be accepted from persons who may wish to join as 'Friends' of the Group.
  • The Committee reserves the right to refuse or revoke membership, and refunds will only be awarded at the discretion of the Committee.
  • An Associate, whilst engaged on an 'observed run' shall be deemed to be in control of their bike at all times and is responsible for the manner in which their bike is being ridden. It is emphasised that the Observer is there only to offer advice.
  • An Associate should undertake to practice between observed runs to consolidate their learning.
  • An Associate must undertake to ensure that their bike, whilst on an observed run, complies with all the relevant Traffic Laws and shall absolve the Committee and its Observers from all claims arising from their association with the Group.
  • No references shall be provided by the Group's Committee regarding an individual's ability.
  • An Associate must be the holder of a current Full Driving Licence permitting them to ride a bike and the bike must be insured and have a current MOT (if applicable).
